Attorney Thompson grew up in Kane County, Illinois and has spent his entire life in the Northern Illinois area. Attorney Thompson attended Northern Illinois University where he received a degree in psychology and graduated summa cum laude. After graduation, Attorney Thompson then went on to law school and received a Juris Doctorate degree. While attending law school, Attorney Thompson was a part of law review and worked as an intern in the State’s Attorney’s Office. Attorney Thompson graduated near the top of his class earning a 3.7 GPA in law school and graduated summa cum laude. After Law School, Attorney Thompson was employed with the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office where he was responsible for prosecuting misdemeanor and traffic offenses. Attorney Thompson joined the Law Office of Doyle and James in March of 2023 as an associate attorney. In his spare time, Attorney Thompson enjoys playing chess and participates in a weekly tournament where he competes against some of the best chess players in the region.
