Our founding attorney, Jonathan James, was one of only two lawyers from the Rockford area to attend a trial skills class conducted by the Trial Lawyer’s College last weekend. The Trial Lawyers College is an organization that is dedicated to helping criminal defense attorneys and plaintiffs attorneys for personal injury, in the advancement of their trial skills so they may protect their client’s interest against the deep pockets of government prosecutors and insurance companies. Pursuant to their mission statement, The Trial Lawyer’s College is dedicated to “training and educating lawyers and judges who are committed to the jury system and to representing and obtaining justice for individuals; the poor, the injured, the forgotten, the voiceless, the defenseless and the damned, and to protecting the rights of such people from corporate and government oppression. In all of its activities, the Trial Lawyers College will foster and nourish an open atmosphere of caring for people regardless of their race, age, creed, religion, national origin, physical abilities, gender or sexual orientation.”
The Trial Lawyers College was founded by Gerry Spence and is responsible for training many of the nation’s top litigation attorneys. Pursuant to their mission, The Trial Lawyers college is committed to training a new breed of lawyer — a warrior who has the courage to become a real person first, and who then has the heart to fight for justice in their own passionate voice.
